The Russian military announced on Thursday that it shot down 92 Ukrainian drones, most of them over the southwest of the country, writes AFP.
Russia reports shooting down Ukrainian drones over its territory almost daily. Kiev says it is carrying out the attacks, which often target energy sites, in response to Russian bombing of its territory.
The Russian Defense Ministry said 47 drones were shot down over the Krasnodar region, located in the southwest of the country along the Black Sea.
Fifteen drones were shot down over the Sea of Azov, 12 over the Kursk border region, and the rest over other regions bordering or close to Ukraine, the ministry said in a statement.
Kiev has stepped up attacks targeting Russia's energy sector in recent months, aiming to cut revenues Moscow uses to fund what the Kremlin calls its special military operation in Ukraine, now in its third year.
