An oil warehouse in the south of Russia was hit in an attack by a Ukrainian drone last night, the Russian authorities announced, adding that the air defense shot down a total of 83 drones.
"An unmanned aerial vehicle fell on an oil storage facility in Svetlograd (Stavropol Oblast) last night. No one was injured. Emergency services are on the scene," said regional governor Vladimir Vladimirov on Telegram.
The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that 83 Ukrainian drones were shot down last night in Russia and in the annexed Crimea.
Kiev is carrying out strikes on energy sites in Russia in response to Russian bombing on Ukrainian territory.
Agencies: Russian forces occupied three settlements in eastern Ukraine
Russian forces have captured three settlements in the east of Ukraine, Russian news agencies reported today, citing the Ministry of Defense of Russia, Reuters reports.
They named the settlements Leonidivka, Novoukrainka and Shakhtarske.
Reuters could not independently verify the report from the battlefield.
