On November 1, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky criticized Kiev's partners for the lack of action in response to Russia's deployment of North Korean troops, Radio Free Europe (RSE) reports.
"Ukraine knows where Russia is amassing soldiers from North Korea on its territory, and a pre-emptive strike would be possible if Kiev was not limited," Zelensky said.
The United States of America (US) said on October 31 that it has information that about 8.000 North Korean troops are now in Russia's Kursk region near the border with Ukraine, which Russia "intends to fully" deploy to fight Ukrainian troops.
Zelensky complained on Telegram that instead of giving Ukraine permission to use US-supplied long-range weapons to target military targets inside Russia, the US and other allies were "just watching".
"Everyone is just waiting for the North Korean army to start attacking Ukrainians as well," he said.
He added that all countries that want the war not to spread to other regions of the world "should act".
