Russia continued its pressure on Ukrainian cities early on November 8, hitting the southern Odesa region and Kharkiv, the country's second-largest city.
At least one person was killed and at least 38 others, including a baby, were wounded, according to regional officials.
In a mass drone attack during the night in Odesa, one person was killed and nine were wounded, the Ukrainian emergency service reported, adding that residential and commercial buildings, warehouses and a school were damaged.
Kharkiv is targeted for the second day in a row, Mayor Igor Terehov reported.
A Russian missile hit a high-rise building in the city's Saltiv district, injuring at least 25 people, including a three-month-old baby, Terekhov said. Residential and historical buildings in the city center were also damaged, he added.
In the Kyiv region, debris from a Russian rocket injured four people, two of them seriously, regional governor Ruslan Kravchenko said.
The Russian army regularly attacks Ukrainian regions with various types of weapons - attack drones, rockets, anti-aircraft and anti-aircraft missiles.
Russia's leadership denies that the Russian military is carrying out targeted strikes on the civilian infrastructure of the cities and villages of Ukraine during the war, killing civilians and destroying hospitals, schools, kindergartens, energy and water facilities.
The Ukrainian authorities and international organizations qualify these strikes as war crimes committed by the Russian Federation and point out that they were premeditated.
