About 15.000 homes were left without electricity this evening in the west of France, in Brittany and Normandy after the storm Darag, announced the management of the local electricity network Enedis.
Brittany and several departments of Normandy put an orange alert on Saturday due to winds throughout the day, which recorded gusts of between 100 and 130 kilometers per hour along the coast.
Those wind gusts caused numerous power outages, often associated with trees falling on power lines.
Storm Darag affected Great Britain and Ireland, where almost 400.000 households were left without electricity, said Enedis, which will send 60 employees, 39 machines and equipment to Ireland.
