A man was arrested in Dublin today after a knife attack that injured several people in the Irish capital, local media reported.
Citing a "serious incident," Irish police said the arrested man was currently "in custody at a police station in the north of the city" and "no longer poses any risk to the public."
A police cordon was set up around the scene of the attack, and police and ambulances were visible at the scene, Irish media reported.
According to the Irish Times, the suspect used a "standard household" knife and injured "up to four people", including one on his doorstep, while The Independent reports that there were "several" victims.
The attack took place in the east of the city and police do not believe it was a terrorist attack at this stage, local media reported, adding that the lives of the injured were not in danger.
