Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said today that Russia will stop fighting in Ukraine only when it gets what it wants from the negotiations to end the conflict that the Russian and American presidents want to initiate.
"We will cease hostilities only when these negotiations lead to a solid and lasting result that will suit the Russian Federation," Lavrov told reporters during a visit to Ankara.
Moscow demands the de facto surrender of the Ukrainian army, demands that Kiev cede five regions that are fully or partially occupied, as well as Kiev's abandonment of joining NATO and the establishment of new authorities.
