At least 12 people were killed in fresh Russian strikes in eastern Ukraine overnight, rescue services and local authorities said, a day after a massive drone and missile attack on the country's energy infrastructure.
Russians shelled the center of Dobropil, in the eastern Donetsk region, last night and into the night, killing at least 11 people and wounding 30, while nine buildings were damaged, rescue services said via Telegram.

In the Kharkiv region, also to the east, a civilian building in the town of Bogoduhov was hit, the head of the regional military administration, Oleg Sinegubov, said via Telegram, adding that one person was killed and seven were injured in the strike.
The Russian Defense Ministry announced that it intercepted 31 Ukrainian drones last night.
One drone attack targeted the Kirichi refinery in the Leningrad region, said Governor Alexander Drozdenko. He said the air force shot down one drone as it approached and another as it flew over the facility, and that a tank was damaged by falling debris.

Trump on Monday, following a verbal clash last week with his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky, ordered a pause in US military aid to Ukraine, including the provision of intelligence, US officials later confirmed.
However, talks to end the war between the Ukrainians and the US were announced in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday.
