Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) have hit gas compressor stations in the Russian regions of Tambov and Saratov, a source in Ukraine's SBU security service told Reuters.
Footage from the site shows drones hitting industrial equipment and powerful explosions, the source said.
Ukrainian drones also hit a field storage facility for S-300/S-400 missiles in Russia's Belgorod region, detonating ammunition, the source added.
Beta news agency reported that Ukraine said it had struck a missile depot and two gas compression stations in Russia overnight, hours after Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed reservations about a US proposal for a ceasefire in Ukraine that Kiev had accepted.
The SBU announced that their drones last night hit a "missile depot for S-300/S.400 systems" in the Russian Belgorod region bordering Ukraine, causing an explosion, Beta reports.
The SBU also announced that they had hit two gas compression stations in the Russian regions of Tambov and Saratov, which are located hundreds of kilometers from the front but within range of drones produced by Kiev to respond to Russian strikes.
This special SBU operation "reduces the financial capacity of the war against Ukraine and the military potential of the Russian army," the statement said.
A second Ukrainian drone attack has caused a fire at an oil depot in Tuapse, in Russia's southwestern Krasnodar region, the region's governor, Veniamin Kondratiev, said.
A fuel tank was set on fire in that Black Sea port, the governor said via Telegram, adding that the fire covered an area of about a thousand square meters and that about 100 firefighters were sent to put it out.
On the other hand, the Ukrainian Air Force announced that Ukraine was targeted by 27 Russian explosive drones last night, most of which were reportedly intercepted.
However, the Donetsk and Kharkov regions, through which the front passes, were also affected.
Kharkiv Oblast Governor Oleg Sinegubov said one person was injured in the attack.
The Russian military announced that it had intercepted 28 Ukrainian drones overnight, four of which were over the Moscow region, and that there were no casualties or significant damage.
