A Russian missile attack on Kryvyi Rih, the hometown of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, killed 14 people and injured about 50 today, local authorities there announced a new death toll.
Zelensky, originally from the industrial city, condemned the attack, saying Russia "does not want a ceasefire," while diplomatic exchanges have continued since February with the aim of finding a solution to the conflict.
"Every missile and drone attack proves that Russia only wants war. And only international pressure on Russia and all possible efforts to strengthen Ukraine, our air defense and our armed forces will determine when the war will end," Zelensky said on Telegram.

The head of the local military administration, Oleksandr Vilkul, said Russian forces fired a "ballistic missile" at the center of a residential area.
According to the new report, six children are among the 14 victims.
Sergiy Lysak, head of the administration of Dnipropetrovsk region in central Ukraine, where Kryvyi Rih is located, said the number of injured continued to rise and added that the attack had caused fires and damaged buildings.
Located about 80 kilometers from the front line, Kryvyi Rih has been a regular target of airstrikes since the start of the Russian invasion in February 2022. Before the war, about 600.000 people lived there.
On Wednesday, four people were killed and 14 injured in a Russian missile attack. In early March, a similar attack hit a hotel in the city, killing two people and injuring seven.
