A Russian journalist who found himself in the middle of a Ukrainian artillery attack last month has died from his wounds in hospital, Reuters reports.
Nikita Goldin, who worked for the military television station Zvezda, was part of a group that was attacked on March 24 in the Moscow-controlled part of Luhansk Oblast in northeastern Ukraine.
Six people were killed in that attack, including two other journalists and their driver.
Goldin, who also wrote for the military newspaper Krasnaya Zvezda, was transferred to a military hospital in Moscow, but died of his wounds.
Russia's Foreign Ministry accused Ukraine of deliberately targeting journalists in the attack.
Data provided earlier in the war by the Committee to Protect Journalists shows that at least 15 journalists have been killed since the Russian invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.
Russian forces have seized almost the entire Luhansk region as Moscow attempts to seize control of the wider eastern region of Donbass, one of Ukraine's most industrially developed areas.
