The Russian Prosecutor General's Office today declared Amnesty International an undesirable human rights NGO, banning its activities in Russia, amid repression of civil society and any critical voice in the country.
"Amnesty's London headquarters is a center for the preparation of global Russophobic projects financed by accomplices of the Kiev regime," the Russian prosecutor's office said.
The Prosecutor's Office explained that since the beginning of their work, Amnesty activists "have been doing everything they can to intensify the military confrontation in the region - justifying the crimes of Ukrainian neo-Nazis, calling for an increase in their funding, and insisting on the political and economic isolation of Russia."
