Kiev has offered Moscow to hold a leaders' summit aimed at ending the war by the end of August, the head of the Ukrainian delegation at the talks in Istanbul said.
Rustem Umerov, chairman of Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council, told the media that Ukraine was ready for a ceasefire and called on Russia to "show a constructive and realistic approach."
Russia has agreed to a new exchange of prisoners of war at peace talks with Ukraine and announced that it is ready to hand over another 3.000 bodies of dead soldiers, the head of the Russian delegation, Vladimir Medinsky, told reporters.
Asked about Ukraine's invitation to a meeting between President Volodymyr Zelensky and Vladimir Putin, Medinsky said that such a summit should be used exclusively for signing documents, not for holding talks.
