Two Russian military aircraft briefly entered Lithuanian airspace today, the country's military announced.
According to the military, the two planes, a Su-30 fighter and an Il-78 fuel tanker, were in the airspace for 18 seconds, and Spanish planes from NATO's Baltic division took off in response to the incident.
Lithuanian Prime Minister Inga Ruginiene stated on social media that this incident once again shows that Russia is behaving like a terrorist state, ignoring international law and the security of neighboring countries, N1 reports.
Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda said in a post on the X network that the incident was a violation of his country's airspace.
