Three people were killed and 27 were injured, including six children, in a Russian drone attack on Kiev last night, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko announced today.
"According to initial information, three people were killed and 27 were injured" in the Dzhaninsky district of Kiev, Klitschko wrote via Telegram.
The attack also caused extensive material damage and fires broke out in several apartments in one building.
In the Obolonskjii district, drone debris fell on a 16-story building, the mayor of Kiev said.
This attack came a day after the Russian bombing of Ukraine on the night of Friday to Saturday, which killed four people and injured about 20.
On the diplomatic front, US President Donald Trump said yesterday that he "will not waste time" and that he is planning a new meeting with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin if there is no prospect of an agreement to end the conflict in Ukraine.
"I'm not going to waste any time. I've always had a great relationship with Vladimir Putin, but this has been very disappointing," Trump said in reference to attempts to resolve the conflict between Moscow and Kiev.
The Kremlin's envoy for economic affairs, Kirill Dmitriev, has been in the US since Friday, where he is holding talks with Trump administration officials.
According to US media, Dmitriev spoke in Florida yesterday with one of Trump's envoys, Steve Witkoff. They say he is expected to continue talks with members of the Trump administration today.
