Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said today that he had a phone conversation with US envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, a day after he revealed details of a new US plan to end the war with Russia.
"We discussed some important details of the ongoing work. There are good ideas that can contribute to a common outcome and lasting peace," Zelensky said on Facebook.
He added that he had a "very good conversation" with the American envoys and thanked them for "their constructive approach, intensive work and kind words."
"I hope that the agreements reached today on Christmas Day and the ideas we discussed will prove useful," Zelensky said.
The Ukrainian president on Wednesday revealed a new version of the US plan to end the war between Russia and Ukraine, which Washington and Kiev have been negotiating for weeks, Le Monde reported on its website.
