Switzerland: Court releases owner of bar where 40 people died during New Year's Eve celebration

A court in Switzerland announced today that Jacques Moretti, the owner of the "La Constellation" bar in Crans-Montana, where a fire broke out during a New Year's Eve party and killed 40 people, can be released on bail.

Moretti and his wife Jessica are under investigation on charges of manslaughter, and Jacques was taken into custody on January 9 due to flight risk, Reuters reports.

The fire during the New Year's celebration also injured 100 people, and the Moretti couple promised to cooperate with prosecutors in the case.
