The potential interruption of emergency electricity assistance provided by Slovakia to Ukraine will not affect the situation in the power grid, the national electricity company Ukrenergo said tonight.
"The probable interruption of emergency electricity supplies from Slovakia will not have an impact on the situation in the Ukrainian power grid. The last time Ukraine requested air transport assistance from Slovakia was more than a month ago, and it was of a very limited scope," the company said on social media.
It is added that the emergency aid from Slovakia mainly consists of short-term supplies.
Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico announced earlier today the interruption of emergency electricity supplies to Ukraine, due to the interruption of Russian oil supplies through the Druzhba pipeline, which passes through Ukrainian territory.
