A Russian drone attack on a market in the Ukrainian city of Nikopol, on the front line, killed five people and wounded 19 others, the Ukrainian prosecutor's office said.
"This is another war crime committed by the Russian Federation," the prosecutor's office said in a statement on Telegram.
Nikopol, located a few kilometers from Russian-occupied territory across the Dnieper River, is regularly targeted by bombing, Reuters reports.
The Russian TASS news agency reported today a statement from the Russian Defense Ministry stating that in the past 24 hours, the country's forces have attacked energy infrastructure, military airfields of the Ukrainian army, and areas of enemy deployment.
They added that they hit places where unmanned aerial vehicles are assembled, fuel and energy facilities, which are used to support the operations of the Ukrainian army, as well as temporary locations of deployment of Ukrainian armed formations and foreign mercenaries at 148 locations.
Kiev, according to the latest data from the Russian Ministry of Defense, has lost more than 1.215 soldiers along the front line in clashes with Russian forces in the past 24 hours.
