Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a ceasefire for a two-day period marking Easter and expressed his expectation that the Ukrainian side would do the same, the Kremlin said.
In connection with the upcoming holiday, a ceasefire is being declared from 16 p.m. on April 11 until the end of the day on April 12, the Kremlin said in a statement, as reported by Reuters.
"We assume that the Ukrainian side will follow the example of the Russian Federation," they added.
