At least three people have been killed in Russian attacks and nearly 150 battlefield clashes have been recorded in the past 24 hours, Ukrainian officials said, despite a US-brokered ceasefire between Kiev and Moscow.

US President Donald Trump said on Friday that Russia and Ukraine had agreed to a three-day ceasefire from May 9 to 11, as broader peace efforts to end the war, which has lasted more than four years, stalled.

One person each in Zaporizhia, Dnipropetrovsk and Kherson regions was killed in Russian drone strikes, regional governors and police said in separate reports, Reuters reported.

In the northeastern Kharkiv region, Governor Oleg Sinyehubov said eight people, including two children, were wounded in drone attacks on the regional center and nearby settlements.

Seven people, including a child, were also wounded in the Kherson region in drone or artillery attacks since the early hours of Saturday, regional governor Oleksandr Prokudin said.

The State Emergency Service said Russian forces had attacked one of its rescue vehicles with a drone in the Dnipropetrovsk region, injuring a 23-year-old driver.

The Ukrainian Air Force said Russia launched 27 long-range drones into Ukraine overnight - fewer than usual - but that air defenses shot them all down.

In a daily morning report, the General Staff of Ukraine stated that there had been 147 clashes along the front line over the past 24 hours.

Ukrainian officials have not yet publicly commented on possible Russian violations of the US-brokered ceasefire, which was supposed to include an exchange of 1.000 prisoners of war from each side.

The Russian Defense Ministry said Ukraine had violated the ceasefire by launching drones and artillery attacks on Russian troops. It said Russian forces had shot down 57 Ukrainian drones.

Earlier this week, Russia and Ukraine separately announced ceasefires - which were due to begin on Friday and Wednesday, respectively - but quickly accused each other of violating them.
