Seven killed in Russian attack on Kiev, 20 people missing

Seven people were killed and 44 were injured in a combined Russian missile and drone attack on the Ukrainian capital, Kiev.

Ukraine's State Emergency Service said 20 people were missing.

According to Ukrainian Justice, a 12-year-old girl was among the dead.

The attack caused the collapse of a nine-story apartment building, killing two men (aged 21 and 30) and a woman whose identity is still being determined.

One man was killed in an attack on a gas station.

Mayor Vitali Klitschko said that a newborn and a child were among the wounded.

Klitschko said that part of an apartment building with 18 apartments in the Darnytsia district of Kiev had collapsed.

Ukrainian Interior Minister Igor Klimenko said that six teams with dogs are working on the search and rescue.

Klitschko reported that due to the attack, there is no water supply in the new part of the city, on the left bank of the Dnieper River.
