Spanish police today arrested Jonathan Andika, the son of billionaire and founder of the Mango fashion house, Isaac Andika, for alleged involvement in his father's death.
Manga founder Andik, 71, was hiking with his 45-year-old son near Barcelona in December 2024 and fell from a cliff about 150 meters high.
Jonathan Andik was the only witness to the accident.
The police opened an investigation and closed it after a few weeks, only to reopen it in March 2025, and in October confirmed that Andiko's death was being investigated as a possible murder.
Jonathan Andik was taken to court in Martorell, a town in eastern Spain where the case is being investigated, a spokesman for regional police said.
Andik is the eldest son of the founder of "Manga" and the Vice President of the Board of Directors of that company.
The fashion house "Mango" is one of the largest Spanish retail chains and has 2.900 stores in about 120 countries around the world, and two stores in Belgrade.
The first Mango opened in Barcelona in 1984 and became one of Europe's largest fashion manufacturers, with revenues of almost 3,8 billion euros in 2025.
