Ukrainian drones targeted another Russian refinery overnight, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said, while Russian authorities said at least two people were killed in the new strikes.
Drones targeted an oil refinery in Syzran, more than 800 kilometers inside Russia, Zelensky said on social media, along with a video showing the aftermath of the attack.
The attack could not be confirmed by independent sources, according to the AP.
The governor of Russia's Samara region, Vyacheslav Fedorishchev, said two people were killed in Ukrainian strikes in Syzran, but he did not say a refinery had been hit.
Some Russian media outlets also reported that Ukrainian drones had hit a refinery owned by oil and gas giant Rosneft.
The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that air defenses shot down 121 Ukrainian drones last night.
In the Belgorod region, on the border with Ukraine, eight people were injured in attacks by Ukrainian drones, regional authorities said.
