The Swiss central bank has introduced a new 20 Swiss franc banknote, which could be the safest in the world.
The red banknote is made of paper reinforced with cotton fibers, and inside it hides a polymer core, writes Poslovni dnevnik.
The banknote has a total of 15 protective elements, including a globe that changes color, a silver map of Switzerland and a cross that merges into a flag. Some of the anti-counterfeiting elements can only be seen under ultraviolet light or a microscope.
The banknote will enter circulation on Wednesday.
The new 20 Swiss francs were introduced after last year's release of the 50 franc banknote, which was declared banknote of the year by an international jury.
In addition to using the most modern methods of protection against forgery, the new 20 francs have a smaller format than the previous ones, so the banknote is easier to use.
Next in line is the ten Swiss franc note, while the 100, 200 and one thousand franc notes will be introduced by 2019.
