Ukrainian Brigade: Two wounded soldiers rescued using unmanned ground vehicles

The Ukrainian 110th Mechanized Brigade announced yesterday that it had carried out an operation to rescue two of its soldiers, wounded on the front lines in a Russian attack on their positions, using unmanned ground vehicles, which it calls robots.

Since the summer of 2025, the Ukrainian military has been intensively using these vehicles to carry out the bulk of supplies and evacuations on the front lines, in a war zone where enemy logistics are a priority target.

A total of three robots were sent to evacuate the infantrymen - the first was destroyed by a Russian mine, while the second became entangled in technical obstacles, the brigade reported on Facebook today.

"The operation lasted 15 hours, and the ground team covered approximately 56 kilometers on roads close to the front line," the brigade said, without specifying the location of the rescue.

For three days, "we could not leave our position because of the attacks and drones flying over the area," one of the wounded soldiers said in a video released by the brigade.

"Basically everything was collapsing around us, we couldn't even lift our heads. But we were saved by a ground robot that unexpectedly arrived and evacuated us," the Ukrainian soldier added.
