Drama in Russia due to fuel shortage

Gas stations in Moscow and St. Petersburg have imposed restrictions on fuel sales, ranging from 20 to 100 liters per customer.

Leading gas station chains in the Russian capital have begun limiting fuel sales. Tatneft stations in St. Petersburg have imposed limits of up to 20 liters of gasoline and 40 liters of diesel per person, while other stations previously had limits of 50 liters.

Despite this, the St. Petersburg Energy Committee claims that there are no prerequisites for a fuel shortage, B92 reports.

Temporary restrictions on fuel sales have also been introduced at some gas stations in Tatarstan.

Gasoline shortages in Russia have spread to Siberia and the Far East, with residents of the Khabarovsk region complaining of supply disruptions at local gas stations. Fuel problems are also occurring in the Kuban region, and the Russian Energy Ministry acknowledged supply problems on June 9.
