The signing ceremony of the memorandum of understanding between the United States (US) and Iran will be held on Friday in Switzerland, at a luxury hotel on Birgenstock, a mountain overlooking Lake Lucerne, the Swiss Foreign Ministry announced today, French media reported.
The ministry added that the site, located in central Switzerland, is difficult to access and therefore easier to secure.
"It was proposed by Pakistani and Qatari mediators, as well as the US and Iran," the Swiss ministry added.
The agreement was reached late Sunday evening.
