Moscow supports the agreement between the United States (US) and Iran to end the war, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said today during a telephone conversation with his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi, stressing that Israel should respect it.
"The Russian minister expressed support for the memorandum of understanding reached through the effective mediation of Pakistan and Qatar to reduce tensions in the region," his ministry said in a statement on social media.
US President Donald Trump announced on Monday that a deal had been reached with Iran, with a signing ceremony planned for Friday in Switzerland.
