More than 400 Ukrainian drones were sent towards the Moscow region last night, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced today, adding that most of them were shot down.
He specified that between 8:30 p.m. on Sunday Moscow time and 5:00 a.m. this morning, more than 400 enemy drones were sent towards the Moscow region, and most of them were neutralized by air defense forces at a great distance from the city, while 85 drones were destroyed on the approaches to Moscow, TASS reports.
France's Le Figaro reported a statement from Domodedovo Hospital in southern Moscow, saying six people injured in the explosion were taken to the hospital. The hospital did not specify whether the injuries were related to the drone attack.
Ten people, including a child, were injured in a drone attack in the Moscow region, the governor of the region, Andrei Vorobyov, announced.
In recent months, Ukraine has stepped up attacks on Russia, saying it is specifically targeting oil infrastructure in an effort to reduce Moscow's capacity to finance the war.
