An earthquake measuring 6,3 on the Richter scale struck the southern part of Peru, the US Seismological Institute announced.
As reported by Reuters, the earthquake damaged houses and some roads in that remote mountainous part of the country, but there were no reports of deaths or injuries.
The epicenter of the earthquake was not far from Lake Titicaca, 45 kilometers northwest of the city of Huliaq, at a depth of 32 kilometers, reports Reuters.
