A strong earthquake of magnitude 6,3 hit the central part of the Philippines this morning, the US Geological Survey announced.
The epicenter of the earthquake was at a depth of 62 kilometers, 100 kilometers southeast of Davao City, on the island of Mindanao.
There are no data on potential victims, and the Pacific Tsunami Monitoring Center has not issued a warning.
The Philippines is located in the Pacific Ring of Fire, a belt of active volcanoes that spans almost the entire Pacific tectonic plate.
