The pilot of the FlyDubai plane that crashed in Russia last Saturday wanted to leave the airline, complaining of fatigue, according to one of his colleagues.
In the accident in Rostov, 62 passengers died, including 7 crew members.
Pilots who spoke anonymously to the BBC said that fatigue was one of the causes of the accident, while the airline company said that it was confidential information.
"We are unable to provide confidential information related to our employees". they announced from FlyDubai and added that it is very important out of respect for the families not to speculate about the possible causes of the accident, while the investigative authorities carry out their work.
Pilots who spoke to the BBC said there was an obvious risk due to the fatigue their colleagues were exposed to. One of the sources has already left the job while the other intends to do the same.
