French aircraft manufacturer Airbus had fewer orders last year than in 2014, but their number was still significantly higher than that of American competitor Boeing.
Last year, Airbus had 1,04 thousand orders, which is a decrease compared to 1,46 thousand in 2014, but significantly above the ordered 768 Boeing planes, as reported by that company last week, reports Capital.ba.
Airbus delivered a record 635 aircraft last year, compared to 629 in 2014. This is, however, less than the 762 planes delivered by Boeing last year.
Although Airbus beat Boeing on the order front, American Boeing had more success selling wide-body aircraft such as the 787, while Airbus mainly sold narrow-body aircraft such as the A320.
