In the past 24 hours, Russian planes made 64 flights in Syria and targeted 63 targets of the Islamic State in the provinces of Hama, Latakia, Idlib and Raqqa, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced today.
Russian aviation destroyed 53 jihadist strongholds, one command center, four training camps and seven warehouses, said the spokesman of the Ministry, Major General Igor Konashenkov.
Russian Su24M planes destroyed the IS headquarters in Salma, which coordinates terrorist actions in Latakia, and he added that Su-25SM planes destroyed a training camp in Idlib.
The Russian Air Force also hit a jihadist battery consisting of six vehicles equipped with mortars in Latakia. Konashenkov added that intelligence data shows that panic is growing among the militants.
Russia intercepted the militants' call, in which they requested reinforcements from Raqqa, as well as weapons and ammunition that were destroyed in Russian airstrikes.
The Russian Ministry of Defense has confirmed that there is progress in talks with the Pentagon, via video conference, about a possible agreement on flight safety during the bombing in Syria.
Konashenkov said that the two sides presented their proposals in detail and that the conversation was professional and constructive.
