India orders 250 planes from Airbus

The European aircraft manufacturer Airbus received an order from the IndiGo group for 250 A320 neo aircraft, the largest order in the history of that Indian airline.

According to catalog prices, the order is worth 26 billion dollars, that is, 23,4 billion euros, Airbus announced.

The low-cost Indian airline IndiGo already ordered 2005 A100 aircraft from Airbus in 320 and another 180 A320 neo models in 2011.

The total number of orders from the "A320" family for IndiGo has risen to 530 planes, Radio Free Europe reports.
