Tunisian authorities have announced that the bodies of 28 migrants who tried to reach Italy have been found, an official of that country said, as reported by Reuters.
The bodies were found on the shores of the town of Ben Gardana near the border with Libya.
On June 10, the Tunisian coast guard rescued 356 migrants, mostly Africans, but also Syrians and Pakistanis, who left Libya in a boat they built themselves, trying to reach Europe.
According to the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, out of at least 219.000 migrants who tried to cross the Mediterranean Sea in 2014, more than 3.500 lost their lives.
