Kazakhstan will supply five thousand tons of uranium to India

Kazakhstan will deliver five thousand tons of uranium to India by 2019, Kazakh President Nursultan Nazabayev said after a meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

"The agreement on the delivery of five thousand tons of uranium by 2019 is proof of the development of our cooperation in the field of energy," said Nazarbayev, reports SEEbiz.

Modi said he was satisfied with the agreement with Kazakhstan, which is the first country with which India has started cooperation in the field of nuclear energy.

Modi is on a tour of the former Soviet republics of Central Asia. He has already visited Uzbekistan, and after Kazakhstan, he will stay in Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and Tajikistan.
