Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi said that around 40 foreign suicide bombers enter the country every month. He called on the neighbors from the region to take action to prevent the influx of foreign fighters from their countries into Iraq.
Suicide bombers are one of the most deadly weapons of the militants of the "Islamic State", which they usually send in cars to Iraqi defense positions or in places where they cause a large number of civilian casualties.
In a televised address, Abadi also said that the number of foreign militants fighting for the "Islamic State" in Iraq is significantly higher than the number of Iraqi militants, reports Radio Free Europe.
The suicide bombers come from every country in the region, adding that "this is a problem that those countries should work on."
Last June, 2014, the Islamic State carried out a major offensive in which it took control of a third of the territory of Iraq, including the areas on the border with Syria, where this group completely controls the territory, which facilitates the inflow of foreign fighters into Iraq.
