US-led coalition forces have carried out nine airstrikes against members of the Islamic State in Iraq and three in Syria, the US military announced.
The target of the strike in Syria was the area around the city of Kobani, which Kurdish forces recently captured from the Islamic State, Reuters reported.
Airstrikes hit three tactical units around Kobani, US-led coalition forces said.
The strikes in Iraq were concentrated in the oil-rich north, targeting Islamists around seven cities, including Kirkuk, Mosul, Fallujah and Baiji.
A warehouse and a dozen ISIL vehicles were destroyed, Reuters reported.
