Sajida al-Rishawi, who is in a Jordanian prison for killing 60 people in a bomb attack in Jordan in 2005, will go in the opposite direction.
According to preliminary reports, al-Rishawi was supposed to be transferred to another prison, and then handed over to representatives of the Islamic State.
However, for now, there are no official confirmations from the Japanese and Jordanian sides. "We have no information to release," Japanese Deputy Foreign Minister Yasuhide Nakayama said in the Jordanian capital, Amman.
