The World Economic Forum in Davos will be held from January 21 to 24 under the name "New Global Context", the organizers announced.
Record participation is expected. More than 2.500 participants from 140 countries are expected in Davos, a small ski resort in the Swiss Alps, where the political and economic elite from all over the world gather every year.
The organizers of the 45th edition of the Forum stated that they expect more than 300 heads of state and members of government. It was announced earlier that the Russian delegation will not be led by the President of Russia Vladimir Putin this year.
In addition to statesmen and economists, Nobel Prize winners, representatives of international organizations, civil society and the media usually come to the forum.
"Today's leaders face hitherto unknown challenges due to their complexity, speed and interconnectedness. The priority in 2015 is the way to overcome them," said the president and founder of the Forum, Klaus Schwab.
This year's co-chairs will include World Bank President Jim Yong Kim and Google CEO Eric Schmidt.
A detailed list of participants will be published on January 14.
