The US military carried out four airstrikes against Islamic State (IS) targets in Syria, and together with its allies, attacked the extremist group in Iraq nine times.
This was announced by the US Central Command. In Syria, US warplanes attacked the area around the border town of Kobane, destroying one small IS unit and four fighting positions of the group.
In Iraq, the coalition led by the US, again, with fighter jets and drones, attacked the area around the Mosul Dam four times, where it destroyed a combat position, a vehicle and a logistical base of the extremists, Reuters reported.
Another small IS unit and one tank were destroyed in two attacks near Fallujah.
Several attacks were also carried out west of Baghdad, near Sinjar and northwest of Hadith.
