One of the leaders of the Kurds in the defense of Kobane, a girl with the pseudonym Rehana, was allegedly killed after being previously captured by jihadists, reports B92.
According to the world media, she has killed around a hundred members of the Islamic State (IS) in recent battles, and according to certain forecasts, she is one of as many as 10.000 female fighters who are in the front lines of the Kurdish forces in Kobane.
In recent days, pro-jihadi portals have published a photo of Rehana's severed head, around which several IS members were standing, reports B92.
The unit was formed in April of this year, after learning that jihadists in their understanding of Islam tie women to the house, and they are only allowed to appear in "public" in the presence of their husbands.
"It is not strange that women fight, there is no difference between lions and lionesses," stated Vahida Kushta, one of the senior members of the "women's brigade", as reported by B92.
Jihadists, allegedly, have a great fear of women fighters, and all this stems from their interpretation of religion, according to which after death they should find themselves in "heaven" where God will give them the company of 72 virgins, annaturally, if they die "by a woman's hand", such a scenario is in "to heaven" will not happen, reminds B92.
"The Islamic State sees women as sexual objects and that motivates us to fight against them. We know how much they fear women from the Kurdish side, they know what we think of them and what we are ready for. That makes us such great enemies," said Bejan. Dzhijaji, one of the female fighters.
