Today, in the seventh week of the offensive on the Gaza Strip, Israel bombed two solitary buildings in Gaza, with numerous apartments and shops, during which 25 people were injured, the Gaza police announced.
The police stated that the 15-story Baša tower, with apartments and offices, was razed to the ground. Another building, an Italian complex with 72 apartments and 60 shops, was badly damaged.
The buildings were evacuated before the attack, but despite this, according to Gaza health officials, 25 people were wounded in the attack on the Italian complex.
Israel says it targets locations linked to extremists, but did not mention the two solitaires in that context. Israel accuses the radical Hamas movement, which governs the Gaza Strip, of frequently targeting Israel from civilian locations.
This is the second time since the last weekend that solitary confinement in Gaza has been targeted and demolished, in an apparent attempt, as assessed by the AP agency, to increase pressure on Hamas.
