Moroccan police said they seized 10 tons of hashish, hidden in a load of tomatoes in a truck that was on its way to France.
The driver of the truck, who was searched at the port of Tanger-Med, was arrested, and the police launched an investigation to determine if there were accomplices.
The cannabis was wrapped in a shape that resembles a tomato, the MAP news agency reported, as reported by Blic.
Last year, Moroccan authorities seized 250 tons of drugs, mostly hashish.
In Morocco, according to estimates by the Ministry of the Interior, more than 700.000 Moroccans make a living from growing cannabis, the AFP agency said.
