Gunmen stormed a bar in Monterrey, northern Mexico, and opened fire, killing eight people, officials said.
The attackers came to the Matevala bar in the city center last night in three vehicles and entered the two entrances shooting at people, said regional security spokesman Jorge Domene.
The shooting, in which one person was seriously wounded, took place next to another bar where gunmen killed 8 people, mostly employees, on July 21 last year, reports AFP.
The Monterey area is the scene of a bloody conflict between the Gulf Cartel and the Setas, two drug cartels fighting for control of the area.
