Pakistan test-fired a nuclear-capable missile

Pakistan today began testing a medium-range missile capable of carrying nuclear warheads, the country's military said.

According to the announcement, the Hatf-7 missile that was fired today was manufactured in Pakistan and has a range of 700 kilometers.

Pakistan, like neighboring India, which also possesses nuclear weapons, regularly tests such types of missiles.

India and Pakistan have fought three wars since 1947, when they gained independence from British colonial rule.
