Influential MPs from Iran have called for a closed session to discuss President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and his boycott of official duties, the BBC reports.
The president has not been seen in his office for 8 days, missed 2 cabinet meetings and canceled a visit to the holy city of Qom.
Iran's supreme leader, Ayatollah Khamenei, recently returned a minister to the cabinet, who was expelled by the president, so analysts believe that it is a power struggle.
Parliament threatened the president with dismissal, the BBC reports, and nearly 300 MPs urged Ahmadinejad to accept Kamenei's decision to reinstate the minister.
And while the president does not come to meetings, minister Moslehi, who was dismissed, comes to cabinet meetings, reports AP.
