US President Donald Trump is considering expelling some Russian diplomats from the US as a sign of solidarity with Britain over the poisoning of a former Russian double spy in Engelska, unnamed sources said.
The final decision could depend on how European countries respond to the nerve agent attack, a Reuters source said.
The decision could be announced as early as today.
EU members on Friday agreed to take additional punitive measures against Russia for the attack on former Russian spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia, who have been in a critical condition in hospital since they were found unconscious on a bench in the city of Salisbury on March 4.
The US joined Britain in blaming Moscow for the attack, but Russia denies any responsibility.
